Credits
One picture costs one credit. A video costs several, and the button shows how many before you start. Your first 3 pictures are free.
If a picture fails, its credit comes back. Credits you buy never expire, even after you cancel a plan. Credits from the website and from the iPhone app land on the same account.
Purchases in the iPhone app
Apple charges purchases in the iPhone app, and the receipt comes from Apple.
To cancel a plan, open the subscription settings of your Apple Account. In the app, Manage subscription on the You tab takes you there. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
For a refund, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Purchases on the website
On the website we sell credits ourselves. Your receipt and your invoice come by email.
Invoices, your payment method and your plan are in the billing portal. Sign in at app.designey.ai/account and open Invoices and payment method under Billing. If you cancel your plan there, it runs to the end of the period you paid for. A plan from the website is managed in this portal, not in the App Store.
For a refund, write to support@designey.ai. We refund a purchase within 14 days as long as no credit from it has been spent.
Deleting your account
In the iPhone app, tap Delete my account at the bottom of the You tab. On the web, sign in at app.designey.ai/account and choose Delete everything at the bottom.
This deletes your photos, pictures and videos, your saved products, your credits and your email address, at once and for good, including at the sign-in service. The invoices for your purchases stay, because tax law requires us to keep them for seven years, and the payment providers keep their own records of the purchase. Section 6 of the privacy policy has the details.
Unspent credits are lost and are not refunded. If a purchase on the website is less than 14 days old and no credit from it has been spent, ask us for the refund before you delete, as section 8 of the terms describes. Deleting your account does not cancel a plan, so cancel it first.
If you would rather we delete it for you, write to office@designey.ai.
For parents
Designey is for people aged 16 and over. Anyone under 18 needs the consent of their parents or guardians to use it and to buy credits or a plan. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 16, we delete it.
In Designey you furnish a photo of your own room. There is no chat, no contact with other users and no ads, and no other user sees the photos and pictures in an account. To make the pictures, the room photo goes to AI providers in the United States, and the app asks for consent first. A spoken wish is written down by Google's AI. We do not store the recording. Google keeps it for up to 55 days to detect misuse and for disclosures the law requires.
The furniture in the pictures links to the retailer's online shop. Designey sells no furniture itself, so a piece is bought at the retailer, and we may earn a commission when someone buys through such a link.
Purchases in the iPhone app go through Apple. With Ask to Buy in Family Sharing, your child has to ask you before each purchase, and you approve or decline it. Once you approve a plan, you are not asked again when it renews. In Screen Time you can also turn off in-app purchases altogether. If your child bought something in the app without your consent, ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Purchases on the website are paid directly there, and Ask to Buy does not apply to them. If your child bought credits or a plan on the website without your consent, write to support@designey.ai.
Write to office@designey.ai if you want to know what we store about your child or want the account deleted. We first check that the request really comes from a parent or guardian. Section 9 of the privacy policy has the details.
Short questions
A picture looks wrong. Pictures are made by AI, so a product can look different in real life. The photo tips in the app help, for example a photo from a corner or the doorway with the phone held landscape. If a picture is clearly wrong, write to support@designey.ai.
I did not get my credits. Credits arrive shortly after payment. They belong to the email address you bought them under, so check that you are signed in with that address. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, that hidden address is a separate account, so sign in with Apple again. In the iPhone app, tap Restore purchases on the You tab. If they are still missing, write to support@designey.ai.
My sign-in code did not arrive. Look in your spam folder and check the address you typed. After a short wait, tap Send a new code. You can also sign in with Google, or in the iPhone app with Apple. The same email address always opens the same account. If you choose Hide My Email with Apple, Apple gives us a different address, and that is a different account.
