Is Designey really free?
Yes. Browsing concepts, swapping products and comparing prices never costs anything. The photorealistic renders need a free account: Your first 3 are free.
Do I need an account?
Not to get started: Uploading a photo and browsing all concepts works without signing up. Only at your first render do we ask for your email address. You get a 6-digit code, and there is no password. Your first 3 renders are free with it.
What do you store about me?
Your email address, your room photos and the pictures made from them, plus your country and the products you save. All of it stays private, is never shown publicly and never sold on. Delete your account and everything is removed. We have no ad cookies and no tracking pixels; for audience measurement and error diagnostics the cookie banner asks, and you can change your answer at any time.
Where does the furniture come from?
From XXXLutz Austria, our partner retailer. At launch there is a range of over 10,000 products, and it keeps growing. Every piece is real, currently purchasable, and one click away from its product page. The purchase happens directly at the retailer.
How does Designey make money?
Two ways, both in the open: your first pictures are free, after that you buy credits from us. And product links are partner links: if you buy from the retailer through one of them, the retailer pays us a commission. The price stays the same for you, and which products a suggestion contains is decided by fit, not by the commission.
Does it work on my phone?
Designey is built for it: A mobile-first web app that runs in your browser. Nothing to install, it works on your laptop or tablet too. Native apps for iOS and Android are already in the works, and whatever you start in the browser will be waiting for you there.
What kind of recording works best?
A slow pan across a room that's as empty as possible, without people. The app guides you through it. The clearer the room, the more accurate the measurements and the more credible the render.
Will the render look exactly like my room later?
No, and we say so: Every image carries the caption “AI-generated visualization. Products may differ”. Your room's geometry is preserved, but what's binding are the product data and dimensions in the list, not the image.
