Delete your account

Designey is an app by eLash Solutions OG, Austria. This page says how to delete your Designey account and what then happens to your data.

In the app

Sign in, open the You tab and tap Delete my account at the bottom. Confirm with Yes, delete everything. It works the same on iPhone and Android. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.

By email

Write to office@designey.ai and tell us the email address of your account. If you write from a different address, we first check that the account is yours. We delete it within a month at the latest and let you know when it is done.

Before you delete

Deleting your account does not cancel a plan. Cancel it first where you took it out:

  • iPhone: in the subscription settings of your Apple Account.
  • Android: in the Play Store, under your profile picture, in Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

Otherwise a plan from the App Store or Google Play keeps running and keeps being charged, even after your account is deleted. You can still cancel it there afterwards. As long as a plan keeps running, each renewal is recorded again under your email address.

Unspent credits are lost and are not refunded. For a purchase in the app, ask Apple or Google for a refund.

What is deleted

At once and for good, and we do not ask why:

  • Your room photos, pictures and videos.
  • Your saved products, and your credits with the ledger they are counted from.
  • The record of your purchases and, if you bought on the website earlier, our copy of your customer record at Stripe.
  • The push tokens of your devices, your notification settings and your country.
  • Your copy of the agreement that your room photos go to the AI providers, and any withdrawal of it.
  • Your email address, also at our sign-in service. If you signed in with Apple, also remove Designey in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Invoices: seven years. For an earlier purchase on the website we were the seller, and Austrian tax law makes us keep the invoice for seven years (§ 132 BAO). It is held at Stripe, through which those purchases were paid, and names your email address and what you paid, nothing about your rooms or pictures. The invoice for a purchase in the app comes from the store.
  • A one-way code made from your email address: 60 days. We keep a keyed hash of the address, never the address itself, only so the 3 free pictures are not given twice: a new account with the same address, also written with a “+” suffix or, at Gmail, with dots or as googlemail.com, starts without them for those 60 days. You can still sign in and buy credits.
  • Apple and Google, and for an earlier purchase on the website also Stripe, keep their own records of a purchase, Stripe also the customer record, for as long as their own legal duties and privacy policies say.
  • RevenueCat keeps your purchases under your email address, so the app knows what you hold. Deleting your account does not remove that record yet. Write to office@designey.ai and we delete it there.
  • Google and OpenAI. What Google received and sent back for your pictures, a room wish you spoke included, Google keeps for up to 55 days, to detect misuse and for disclosures the law requires. OpenAI keeps what it received and sent back for up to 30 days to detect misuse, and longer only where the law requires it or where that is reasonably necessary to protect its services or others from harm. Deleting your account does not shorten this.
  • fal. A room video stays at fal for up to one day after it is made, so we can fetch it.

Sections 4 to 6 of the privacy policy say who receives your data, why, and how long we keep it.
